The Umbrella Academy
After seventeen years apart, a family of superhumans called The Umbrella Academy reunite for their father’s funeral only to find out they must come together again to save the world. They must overcome a lifetime of resentment and secrets and learn to work together before it is too late.
Anne with an E
“Anne with an E” is a coming-of-age story based on the classic novel Anne of Green Gables. Anne, an orphan, finds out she has been adopted, but when she arrives at her new home, she does not find immediate acceptance from her family or peers. The show follows Anne as she searches for acceptance in her new community.
“Reign” is a historical drama that is loosely based on the life of Mary Queen of Scots. The show follows Mary as she leaves the convent for France to prepare for her arranged marriage to Prince Francis. When she arrives, she encounters unexpected romantic and political drama that threatens to destroy her country. As she spends more time in French court, she learns that not everyone supports her alliance with France and that she is in danger from people on both sides of the castle walls.
I Am Not Ok With This
Similar to “Stranger Things” and “The End of the F***ing World”, “I Am Not Ok With This” is a coming-of-age story with a twist. As Sydney deals with family issues, teen drama, and growing up, she must deal with something even more complicated: she is starting to develop superpowers. Sydney must learn to deal with her feelings and her powers while maneuvering her life as a teenage girl.
